Doubly Blessed!

In a meeting of the Familia Finance’s Fund Generation Committee, Dyna & I were invited to help think of programs.

Dyna, was inspired to support the cause by suggesting to hold an art exhibit by a group of artists.  However, the committee ended up with a decision to just do a solo exhibit which I am sure, brought a shiver of discomfort to Dyna.

You see, Dyna did not have a formal schooling in art.  She just attended art workshops.  And this solo exhibit requires at least 20 paintings with a deadline in order to meet the timetable of SM Megamall, where the art exhibit will be held.

Dyna was reluctant, but she prayed for several days about it.  In her prayer time the Lord assured her of His love and faithfulness.  Dyna said later, “I promised to God that I will not get anything from the sales, I will just donate everything for the mission work.”

For 3 months, Dyna donated a big chunk of her time and talent working on canvass after canvass as a service to the Lord.  She was able to do thirty (30) paintings.  After the art exhibit, 28 pieces were sold.  The art exhibit generated more than 300 thousand pesos…all of which went to mission work.  The experience made Dyna feel doubly blessed!
