Gil Caballero’s tumor on the right cheekbone first appeared before he turned 20. And around that time, his relationship with God began through Familia Community. Since then, he has served in the Music Ministry and in the Singles where he, along with wife, Agnes, serves as Provincial Mission Head.
The tumor has been persistent. He would have a successful operation but then it would only re-appear… And it kept coming back. But Gil’s faith is even bigger and more persistent. He is currently undergoing treatment in China and during the very first procedure, a bird came into his hospital room and stayed there for two days even resting on his shoulder at one point. Gil shared on his Facebook and wrote:
“God sent my first visitor here, she just came in my room and played around…
Then He reminded me..
Matthew – 6:26-27
“Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not YOU more important than they? Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span?”
Thank you Lord for this visitor, You are truly an amazing God! I surrender everything to You.”
